Kate is passionate about cloud technology and artificial intelligence, and how they can support people to take an active, informed role in managing their health. She is committed to the ethical and transparent use of AI, and enjoys working with global thought leaders, funders, healthcare providers and whānau to co‑design solutions to complex healthcare challenges.
Kate is a Founding Fellow of the Fellow of Health Informatics New Zealand (FHiNZ). She served as an elected executive board member of NZ Health Information and Technology (NZHIT) from 2010–2020 and was a founding member and chair of the Women in HealthTech Aotearoa.
Outside the office, Kate swaps screens for scenery and heads outdoors into Aotearoa’s wilderness – walking, mountain biking, and her newest adventure, paddling on her surf-ski.
